Don't want to spend 3-4 hours in the studio?
One-hour is all we need and baby will be wrapped the whole time, posed in props such as baskets, bowls, buckets, etc.

This is a full luxury newborn & family session that typically lasts 2-3 hours. Baby will be wrapped and unwrapped for posing on 2-3 different table backdrops, in props, & the fluffy flokati rug.
Photos with parents/siblings are included and are taken on a
solid backdrop or the lifestyle bedroom area. This session has more of a posed, classic feel.

This session takes place at
Anna Carreno Photography Studio in Magnolia, TX and lasts around 90 minutes. We capture those intimate, unposed moments with baby, parents, and siblings in a beautiful boho bedroom with lots of textures and creamy tones. We will also do a few wrapped poses with baby, too.

When should I book my newborn session?
Newborn sessions are best reserved during your second trimester to ensure availability around your due date. Once baby arrives, we will finalize your session date based on your baby’s arrival and how everyone is feeling postpartum.
What age is best for newborn photos?
Newborn sessions are ideally photographed within the first 5–21 days after birth while babies are still very sleepy and naturally curled for posing. However, beautiful newborn portraits can still be captured outside of that timeframe as well and it is also dependent on how mom & baby are feeling after delivery.
Do parents and siblings participate in newborn sessions?
Yes! Parents and siblings are welcome during Luxury and Lifestyle newborn sessions. These images often become some of the most meaningful and treasured portraits from your session.
What should we wear for our newborn session?
Neutral, soft-toned clothing photographs beautifully and helps keep the focus on connection and emotion. Complimentary access to the Anna Carreno Photography client closet is included for mothers in full newborn sessions to help create a cohesive and stress-free experience.

Do you provide newborn wraps, props, and accessories?
Yes! All wraps, headbands, bonnets, baskets, props, and styling pieces are carefully curated and provided for your newborn session. Every setup is designed with a timeless and neutral aesthetic in mind. Specific requests for colors, styles, props, and setups can be requested prior to your session.
What is the difference between posed and lifestyle newborn photography?
Posed newborn photography, as provided in my Classic and Luxury packages, focuses on gently styled baby portraits using wraps, props, and carefully guided posing. Lifestyle newborn photography captures more natural, connection-focused moments with parents and siblings in a relaxed studio setting.
Is newborn safety important during posing?
Absolutely. Your baby’s safety and comfort are always the highest priority during every session. Anna Carreno Photography has completed specialized newborn safety and posing mentorships to ensure babies are handled gently and safely throughout the experience.
Do you offer maternity and newborn bundles?
Yes! Clients who book a maternity session with Anna Carreno Photography receive $50 off any full newborn session package. Many families choose to document both milestones for a cohesive and meaningful experience from pregnancy through baby’s earliest days.
